How to Solve Our Human Problems

Anger is a destructive mind, and it solves nothing.  But unfortunately, anger is a common negative mind that everyone experiences to some degree nearly every day.

The opposite of anger is patience.  Far from being a passive, weak mind, patience is a powerful mind that protects both us and others from the negative force of anger.  By first learning how to recognize anger, and then learning how to practice progressively deeper levels of patience, we can overcome this internal enemy and gain a stable inner peace and relaxation.

Kelsang Nyema will guide each class in the series.  An American Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Ganden Buddhist Center, Nyema makes Buddha's time-tested teachings on anger practical for everyone.

Class Format and Schedule

How to Find Room 525

Room 525 is a science lab classroom within Burke High School.  The easiest way to find 525 is to enter the school through the West Entrance, which is next to the Citadel Stadium.  Even easier, go through the entrance to the cafeteria, which is right next to the West Entrance.  Walk straight until you find yourself in the main corridor of the school.  Turn left.  Near the end of the main corridor is a large map of the world on the wall.  Turn right by the map.  Room 525 is at the end of the hallway on the left, right by a sign that says "Stair -- Area of Refuge."
